US soldier in Iraq

I was thinking I should honour the visitors of this blog like someone I already saw...
As US visitors already went over 100 (even if it was by mistake ), this figure cames in the right time. I hope you like it.

I did this for Benno's duels (which I deservedly lost for Wintrix). As I said at the forum, I should have searched for my opponent's works before accepting is challenge! When I saw modern armies were his field of expertise it was too late!
This is a Caesar Modern US Army. It was the first time I painted a modern army figure and had no idea of how to paint a uniform like that! Now I have to paint at least another figure to fill that base and I'm not sure if I can replicate the uniform!
I leave you with some pictures, some were used for the duel but others (I enjoyed the painting AND the experiments with Paint Shop Pro!) were left out.

  1. A nice entry this was, liked the idea of using a wall for the vignette, got the right atmosphere!

  4. This had my vote to. I thought the other figure was holding a fish! Very nice first attempt.
